List of Competitions for 2005

As Scot is planning to break the Scottish Native Record of 56.32m and also qualify for the Scottish Commonwealth games this year he has planned out  the events he wants to compete in well in advance.

List of Proposed Fixtures:

Scot is busy setting up his own personal training business and as yet has not got round to selecting his competitions for Summer 2006.

He has, however, been training hard working on his areas of weakness and fully expects to make some big improvements by next season.

Scot has just linked up with a new coach!!!

Since Scot was invited to train at the national throws squad days with the GB team he has taken on board a great deal of advice from all of the top coaches.

Scot noticed some major technical improvements over just two or three sessions at the weekends held at loughborough University once a month.

Consequently Scot asked the head throws coach; Gary Herrington, if he would oversee his throwing full-time, to which Gary said: "Not a problem."

54m; first round. Biggest first round throw to date.

Despite some nerves before his first championships of the season I relaxed long enough to release my best technical throw to date.

What's happening with the new technique?

Well, since Scot started working with Gary in those early sessions back in February there have been a number of changes made to Scot's technique. This means that until his body and CNS (Central Nervous System) have become completely used to the new movements, the timing of the throw and therefore distance, may be erratic and less than last year.

However, there are no signs of him losing distance so far, which bodes well for future improvements.
